Authenticity. Beauty. Challenge.

The concept of organizational culture originates, in many ways,
from Japanese management philosophy — one that places people, relationships, and shared meaning at its core.

Yet today, in many Japanese organizations, systems have become formalized,
and culture is often treated as intangible, secondary, or unmanageable.

Grounded in psychology and organizational behavior—including Ikigai
I approach organizational culture as a manageable, observable process.
I focus on how values shape meaning, how meaning drives behavior, and how behavior ultimately determines outcomes.

My perspective has been shaped through hands-on experience
at the forefront of global food safety, including work with Walmart, Compass Group, British Standards Institution and TUV Rheinland.

Across food safety culture, management systems, and international standards,
one truth has remained constant: without addressing the human and cultural dimension, no system truly works.

By integrating theory and practice, Japanese organizational wisdom and global standards, I support organizations in moving beyond surface-level compliance
toward cultures that are resilient, credible, and alive.

This is my work.
This is my Ikigai.

Services

Advisory on Food Safety & Quality Culture and Management Systems

This service supports organizations in strengthening food safety and quality culture while designing, implementing, and operating management systems that are effective in practice.

We work with organizations to integrate food safety and quality management systems into everyday decision-making, ensuring that requirements are clearly understood across management and operational levels. The focus is not only on system design and documentation, but on how systems are interpreted, applied, and sustained within the organization.

Our advisory work includes:

  • Development and reinforcement of food safety and quality culture
  • Introduction, review, and improvement of food safety and quality management systems (e.g. ISO 22000, ISO 9001, GFSI-recognized schemes – FSSC 22000, BRCGS, SQF and IFS)
  • Alignment of management intent with on-site practices
  • Support for internal audits, management reviews, and continuous improvement

The emphasis is on building systems that support consistent practice, rather than systems maintained solely for certification or audits.

  • Guidance on certification scope, applicability, and implementation planning
  • Integration of sustainability requirements with food safety, quality, and procurement systems
  • Support for internal readiness, audits, and ongoing operation

The focus is on long-term implementation and organizational integration, rather than short-term certification outcomes.

EU Food Safety and Import Regulations Advisory

This service supports organizations involved in exporting food and food-related products to the European Union, or operating under EU food regulatory frameworks.

We provide expert interpretation of EU food safety and import regulations, helping organizations understand regulatory intent, scope, and practical implications for their products, supply chains, and management systems. Support focuses not only on regulatory texts, but on how requirements are translated into internal procedures, documentation, and on-site practice.

Our advisory work includes:

  • Interpretation of EU food safety and import-related regulations
  • Clarification of regulatory expectations at border control, official controls, and audits
  • Alignment of EU regulatory requirements with existing food safety and quality management systems
  • Support for communication between regulatory requirements, management decisions, and operational implementation

The emphasis is on practical applicability and organizational alignment, ensuring that regulatory compliance is understood, consistently applied, and sustainable within day-to-day operations.

Research-based Coaching and Professional Training

This service provides coaching and training programs grounded in organizational psychology, communication theory, and research on food safety and quality culture.

Programs are designed to support managers and professionals in understanding how systems, culture, and relationships influence everyday decisions and behavior.

Training is dialogue-based and adapted to the organizational context, rather than relying on standardized, lecture-style formats.

Our work includes:

  • Development programs for cultivating food safety and quality culture, focusing on the enhancement of the ikigai concept at the individual level, interdependency within teams, and the introduction of a shared meaning system at the organizational level.
  • Coaching for managers and leaders responsible for food safety, quality, and sustainability
  • Training for the introduction and implementation of food safety management systems (FSMS)
  • Customized workshops aligned with organizational challenges and maturity
